Anna Lee

Anna Lee is a recent graduate of the University of California, Davis, where she earned a B.S. in Marine and Coastal Sciences with a minor in Sustainability in the Built Environment. She has research experience spanning field ecology, wet lab experimentation, and analytical laboratory work, with a background in aquatic and marine systems. In the Gurr Lab, she is excited to contribute to understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms that underlie shellfish responses to environmental change, and to help translate those insights into strategies that support sustainable aquaculture and resilient coastal communities. Outside the lab, Anna enjoys swimming, running and biking (mostly swimming), baking and reading.
