Kendyl Neef

Summer Undergraduate Intern, NSF REU

Kendyl Neef is a second-year Biochemistry student at Arizona State University. She joined the lab as an intern in the NSF-sponsored REU program hosted by Oregon State University, where her project involves determining antifouling methods for the removal of Spirorbid worms from Pacific Dulse. Her marine research interests include observing how external stressors influence internal processes within marine organisms and how this affects environmental interactions. Currently, she’s interested in a research career that focuses on the intersection between research and policy, hopefully, making scientific research more accessible to the public. Outside of work and school, she enjoys hiking, cooking, and exploring Oregon and Arizona.
