Reyna Ibarra
B.S Student in Biology, Oregon State University URSA Undergraduate Research Fellow
Reyna Ibarra is a second-year undergraduate student pursuing a B.S. Marine Biology at Oregon State University and an URSA Undergraduate Research Fellow in the Gurr Lab for winter and spring 2026. Reyna is thrilled to be working on multiple projects including the measurement of metabolic activity of oyster larvae using resazurin, as well as the dose-dependent effects of temperature challenges on oxidative stress in oysters. Currently, she is interested in a research career related to marine biology and conservation and hopes to involve herself in sustainability focused opportunities. Outside of school and work, she enjoys reading, baking, hiking, and playing sports with friends.
